TRICERA energy, the general contractor (EPC) and system integrator for large-scale battery storage systems from Dresden, successfully completed the two innovation parks in L\u00fcbars and Letschin last week.<\/p>\n

Both projects were developed by Trianel Energieprojekte GmbH & Co. KG. The 100% subsidiary of the municipal utility cooperation Trianel specializes in the development of operational wind and solar parks. The hybrid power plants have since been sold to a Bavarian investor.<\/p>\n

The two battery storage systems with a total installed capacity of 17.5 MWh and an output of 9.75 MW (4.55\/9.1 and 4.2\/8.4) participate in energy trading. The hybrid power plants consisting of a photovoltaic system and battery storage serve the new owner as an attractive investment in renewable energies.<\/p>\n

The projects resulting from the innovation tender are characterized by the fact that only automotive batteries were installed. While 1st life modules were used in Letschin, 2nd life modules were installed in L\u00fcbars. This is a particularly low-CO2 variant of energy storage, as resources that have already been invested can be used for longer, thus extending the life cycle of the battery modules. At the same time, a very high proportion of the added value comes from Germany and Europe.<\/p>\n

TRICERA was primarily responsible for the construction of the battery storage systems in the projects and provided the planning, procurement and installation of all components up to the transformer. TRICERA successfully completed the project with the handover of the documentation and preparation of the expert opinion by the certifier. The systems fully comply with the provisions of the innovation tender.<\/p>\n

The Federal Network Agency promotes particularly grid- or system-friendly, efficient plant combinations of various renewable energies (RE) as well as combinations of RE plants and storage facilities.<\/p>\n
